Saltery Lodge is perfect for self guided Ketchikan fishing. For saltwater fishing, you will be going out on fully equipped 20' Aluminum boats with soft-top covers. Compare this to other self guided lodges where you are fishing unprotected from open skiffs. We will show you where to fish and how to fish in order to maximize your chances, and even give you color coded maps that show you where the bites are happening and even the depths to fish with your down riggers.

For freshwater fishing, we will show you the best locations, give you the gear and even give you fly fishing lessons if you would like them. You will also have access to one of southeast Alaska's best streams that is very close to the lodge. Expect to catch rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, Dolly Varden, pink salmon and even an occasional steelhead!

Saltery Lodge is known for its dining and your experience is important to us. Our chef will create breakfasts that will give you energy for the day, lunches to carry you to dinner and evening meals to put a smile on your face. Gourmet lunches will be packed in coolers for your day's experience, giving you fuel for the mid day fishing. Served either buffet or family style, you will not push away from the table hungry. Desserts will be delectable and sweet, just the way you want them.

Alaska is known for its wildlife, fishing, and beauty. You will experience all these at Saltery Lodge. Located on 62 acres, it even has a 40 ft waterfall with fingerling trout and a pink salmon run in it. Bears will frequently be sighted from the lodge running up and down chasing the salmon in the stream. Bald eagles, seals, and seagulls call our huge beach home and work it on a daily basis.
