In 2007,  my wife and I were standing on deck looking at the water. I saw what looked like a fish swimming on the surface of the water.  It was about 100yds away, and I looked closer and saw that it was a pretty healthy sized dog shark!  I commented to my wife how that looked like a shark!

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that Jake the dog was also keenly interested in this fin moving through the water.  Suddenly Jake was off like a shot!  He ran down the beach over the sharp rocks and bolted into the water.  The shark was in the shallows, so he didn’t have to swim after it.  He grabbed the shark and wrestled it to the shore!  My girls came down screaming with excitement, "Jake caught a Shark! Jake caught a Shark!"

I had my pocket camera on me at the time and rolled a little video of the event…  FYI, the shark was released and swam away unharmed.
