For 2010, Saltery Lodge is offering some great new tours for people visiting Ketchikan on a cruise ship. Come out and see the lodge, the wildlife, and the scenic views from our waterfront lodge. We pick you up at your ship, give you a narrated van tour out of the north end of Ketchikan, then whisk you away in our boat to the lodge. You are likely to see wildlife on the boat trip out to the lodge, with eagles common sights, and occasional deer, bear, whales, and seals.
Once at the lodge we have three different activities that you can enjoy, including wildlife nature walks, kayaking and photography/hummingbird feeding. All of these are followed by a fantastic gourmet lunch.
These Ketchikan Tours are very limited as we don’t take out many people each day. If you book six people or more, you are guaranteed a private tour. For more information, see our Ketchikan Tour page.

When I did this I spent the morning kayaking in Misty Fjords or hiking up Deer Mountain, then the afternoon poking in and out of fantastic galleries and shops.
