The feel of the interior lodge is described as a "rustic elegance" with hard wood rustic floors mixed with elegant furnishings mixed with turn of the century antiques and pictures.
Each guestroom features its own unique theme and come with a private bathroom.
A full surrounding deck overhangs the beach front and connects to our private dock.
The lodge connects to many paths and trails around the property.
The lodge sits on 62 acres which originally held an old salmon saltery and later a cannery.
Remains can still be seen around the property.
Over 95% of the property is bordered by the Tongass National Forest or by water.
There are many trails on the property, and walking around the forest, you will find some trees that are simply enormous.
Wildlife abounds on the property including birds, bears, salmon and marine mammals.
No expense was spared when building the lodge and the interior details show it.
Trimmed in vertical-grain fir, and with an old world radiant wood floor, you will feel warm and cozy as you look out one of the 59 windows at the waterfront view.
Furnished in elegant and comfortable furnishings and hand woven rugs, the lodge invites you to curl up and enjoy a good book after dinner.
There are four bedrooms in the upper portion of the lodge, each with its own private bathroom.
They are all decorated in a different theme.
There are three bedrooms that average 190 sq ft and a Master Suite that is over 1000 sq ft!
Our interior designer helped us make sure each room was outstanding.
You will agree that it truly is an Alaska luxury lodge.
The lodge is controlled by a computer program we call "Karen".
Karen makes sure the lodge is in good working operation at all times.
There are over 6 miles of low voltage wires in the house to support the many computerized functions, including heat and lights.
Karen responds to voice commands to make the lodge easy to control.
