Because we only book the lodge to a single group, our entire staff can focus 100% on your family's desires. Our lodge is off the road system and is only accessible by boat or seaplane, so you know you are getting a true Alaskan experience. You can choose to go fishing, boat touring, wildlife watching, touring town, or exploring our 62 acre property. Your hosts are very good with children and know how to keep them entertained. When the day is done, enjoy a first-class gourmet meal cooked by our resident chef. A great way to complement your Alaska family vacation.

Your family probably wants to fish during their Alaska family vacation. We like to fish as well and know how to show everyone a good time. We get everyone involved when fishing and you can choose to do as much or as little as you like. We offer both Alaska saltwater fishing for salmon and halibut and Alaska freshwater fishing for trout and salmon. Our fishing/excursion vessels are "Linnaea" and "Jasmine". Two of the nicest charter boats in Southeast Alaska. We hire only licensed, experienced and safe captains. In fact, your host, Joe Paul, is one of them! We make sure our captains are kid friendly and can show the whole family a good time.

If you're looking forward to taking a break from the cooking, Saltery Lodge's standard all-inclusive package is right for you! You will have a personal private chef that will be 100% focused on creating food that your family will rave about for years to come. We are flexible at the lodge, and if you want to eat outside, or take a dinner cruise, we can accommodate you there as well. We want to make your Alaska family vacation a complete success.

We are much more than just about the fishing. We can go on sight seeing tours, wildlife watching, hiking, beach combing, or touring historic Ketchikan. In the evening, unwind in the luxurious lodge playing games and puzzles together. Or enjoy s'mores over an outdoor bonfire as the sun sets right in front of the lodge.
